2006-07-01 Office is Finally Done 001

Thank God the office is finally 'done'. It was a long process but we've finally completed it and both Ann and I love it. Too bad that neither of us really work from there now :(. It's been almost two years now since I've had office space for my company, BTR, so working at home (excluding late nights) doesn't really happen anymore. Ann was free lancing for mayoclinic.com in the babies and pregnancy subdivisions (this was her original job at Mayo) but late in Audrey's pregnancy everyone decided it was best if Ann just dropped it completely and focused on herself and Josh so she doesn't use it for 'work' either :) Anyway, you can probably still find a few articles out there written by her if you ask her for the links via the blog comment feature (they never credit articles with the actual mayoclinic.com author/editor so you'd have to get links from her).

We especially love the framed pictures on the wall. It was kind of spendy for all the framing but I think it was well worth it. Although I am ticked about something. I went to Hobby Lobby to get these framed specifically because a) they were cheapest and b) because they said they wouldn't put a dust cover on the back and make it possible to swap pictures (because I am surely going to want to rotate the pictures). And what do they do?! Dingbats put dust covers on and also I'm sure 'nailed' the pictures/matting in place. I'm sure I'll be able to swap them out with some effort but I would have rather have had them just do it the way I asked them to. Oh well, if you want something done right...

Also note, I threw out a photo gallery of stuff from our house. I made it so it shows up all the way at the bottom (the last gallery) on the picture page so you'll have to scroll down. It just contains pictures of things we did to our house and the original building process. I've had discussions (getting opinions and what not) with people about my house and figure this is just easier to throw them up on web instead of emailing pictures back and forth.
