It has been a wonderful summer with the kids. One of the biggest themes of our summer has been PLAYDATES. We have had many little friend play date swaps which has been great for the kids and myself.  Josh and Audrey also participated in Quarry Hill Nature Camp which was such a wonderful outdoorzy experience. They learned so many things about the earth and nature! We also took a few trips up to Grandpa and Grandma’s house which is always fun and exciting for the kids. We went and visited my sister up in Duluth for a week too and took in the beauty and grandeur of Lake Superior (Audrey called it the sea). In between, we played a lot of tennis, swam whenever they could, and played outside a ton. I can tell the kids have grown-up so much this summer!

It’s pretty amazing that the 12 weeks of summer are coming to a close. As I reflect, it brings a tear to my eye to think that the carefreeness and freedom of the days of summer are almost done. However, there is always exciting things to look forward too with each new season. Audrey will start Bethany preschool in September three mornings a week, Josh will start first grade, and Luke will continue to keep me company and keep life exciting while the kids are away.  One of the best parts of living in Minnesota are the incredible seasonal changes that occur which always keeps life interesting and beautiful.
